Connie Broughton
Director of eLearning and Open Education, Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges
Connie Broughton is Director of eLearning and Open Resources at the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. She has been developing and managing collaborative elearning projects since 1997. These projects include WashingtonOnline, Western eTutoring Consortium, and the Open Course Library. She has also taught English courses at Washington colleges and worked as a freelance writer and producer.
David Harris
Editor-in-Chief, OpenStax and Connexions
David is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and has worked extensively in higher education publishing. During his career David has held a range of leadership positions allowing him to collaborate with the best authors, editorial groups, and media development teams in the industry. Most recently David was the president of WebAssign, the largest independent online homework provider. At OpenStax College David hopes to contribute to the teams effort of improving access to high quality materials by working with authors, developers, and partners to substantially lower costs for students.
Rebecca Peterson
Research Director, EdX
Rebecca Petersen's work at edX, a not-for-profit enterprise of founding partners Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is focused on managing sponsored research projects in addition to collaborating with edX partner schools on program development and faculty support needs.

She has worked in higher education IT and online program development for the past 15 years. While at Lesley University she was the founding Director of Academic Technology. Later she was appointed as the Director of eLearning Resources and Professional Development where she expanded faculty development programs to include online seminars and courses. She also led the implementation of an eAssessment and ePortfolio platform. She then joined Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) as their first Director of Faculty Development. While at WIT she created faculty programs that supported online and hybrid course development as well facilitating new faculty orientation and mentoring communities.

Rebecca is an alum of the 2006 Frye Fellowship Program.
Ed Klonoski (Moderator)
President, Charter Oak State College
Edward (Ed) Klonoski was appointed President of Charter Oak State College on February 15, 2008. Throughout Klonoski's professional career, he has always been involved in the fields of education and technology, focusing his energies on the successful integration of those two worlds. From 1997 to 1999 Klonoski was the Director of Information Technology for Charter Oak, focusing on building systems, training technology staff and representing the College on state technology planning groups. Before his appointment at Charter Oak, Klonoski was the president of the Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium (1998-2008), building the organization, creating multiple course delivery infrastructures, and structuring the financial foundation to pilot a virtual high school for Connecticut. Klonoski was also the Director of the Advanced Educational Computing Project and Coordinator of Information and Instructional Technology Training at the University of Hartford. At the University of Hartford, Klonoski was an assistant professor of Rhetoric, Language & Culture; additionally, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, teaching literature and writing.

Klonoski has made numerous presentations throughout the country on emerging technologies, elearning, collaborative partnerships and the integration of technology and learning. In addition, he sits on a number of boards in Connecticut.

Klonoski is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he received his Bachelor's in English and of the University of Hartford where he received a Master's in the same subject.
