Description: This course will examine the broad range of primate behavior and what it means to be human. We will pay particular attention to the higher primates, like the chimpanzees and gorillas. Do these animals have culture or is culture the exclusive product of human societies? The course will briefly highlight the trajectory of human evolution and then focus on the biology and behavior of primates.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Physical Anthropology
