The The Adult Success Coach
is a three year project funded by the Fund for the Improvement of Post Secondary Education (FIPSE) and the Davis Educational Foundation. The grant, involving Community Colleges in three states, is a partnership between the CTDLC, Manchester Community College in CT, Northwestern Connecticut Community College and Middlesex Community College in MA. Using CTDLC's award winning, eTutoring collaboration as a model, the partners are working together to build a single shared online presence for adults returning to college. The site will feature resources, planning tools, and synchronous access to shared coaches who will be trained to help students understand the culture of higher education and to learn which services at their respective college they should access in order to help them succeed. After the initial pilot phase of the grant, we will be inviting other institutions to join with us.
