Microsoft Internet Explorer Help

1. Goto: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/.

2. When the page finishes loading, you should see a blue "Download Now" button. Click the "Download Now" button, and wait for the next page to load. Select "English Language Version" from the pulldown menu, and click "Download Now" again.

3. When you click the "Download Now" button, you may see a File Download dialog box. If this happens, make sure you select "Run this program from it's current location," and then click "OK" and wait for the Internet Explorer installer to finish downloading. This should take less than thirty minutes, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

4. When the Internet Explorer installer finishes downloading, your browser may display a "Security Warning" dialog box. If this happens, simply click the "Yes" button at the bottom of the box.

5. The Internet Explorer installer program will open and display a licensing agreement. At the bottom of the agreement window, click "I accept the agreement" and click the "Next >" button.

6. The installer program will scan your computer to determine what you need to download for the latest version of Internet Explorer. After a few moments, the program will display the files to download and a time estimate.

7. Follow the on screen instructions as Windows Update downloads the latest files for Internet Explorer. This process may take anywhere from a few minutes to more than an hour, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

8. When the Windows Update program is finished, the latest version of Internet Explorer will be installed in the location you selected on your computer. Double click the IE icon to start the program, and you're ready to browse the web.
