Here is some basic information on how to log on and navigate online courses.

Logging In To The Course

You should have received an email that included a Student ID and Password.
Enter that ID and password, then click Enter.

If you forgot your password, enter your Student ID then place a check in the box next to "I forgot my password!" Click Enter and the password will be emailed to your account.

Student Main Menu

From this window, you may enter the course by clicking on the image which brings you directly to the Course Information screen, or you can view the Classroom Menu by clicking on the course title (Welcome to the CTDLC Classroom).

You may also view your Student Information (where you can change your email address); Change your Password, or Withdraw from a Course.

**Please note: Clicking the Withdraw link only notifies the system admin that you wish to be removed from the course. You MUST contact your school's registrar in order for any reimbursement.

Classroom Menu

From the Classroom Menu, you may enter the course; view the class email roster; or enter the course conference.

Entering the Course

The Course Information window gives you a description of the course and tells you some information about the instructor.
You may enter the online classroom by clicking the Enter Classroom link.

The Online Classroom

The online classroom will consist of two frames (sides): the main (content) window and the menu window on the left hand side. Use the buttons on the left to change the information displayed on the right.

The Classroom Menu

Prev/Next buttons move you backward or forward one lesson. This button is different than the browser's back button. Table of Contents brings you a table of contents from anywhere in the course. Lesson displays the course content. Review displays a list of the most important concepts in a particular topic. Resources displays a list of links to other information relevant to each topic. Exercises displays exercises/assignments for the current lesson. Questions displays review questions for the current lesson. Assessment displays a graded test for the current lesson. Syllabus displays the instructor's course outline. The syllabus can be accessed from anywhere in the course. Conference enters the course conference/threaded discussion area. eRoster displays the course email list. Print Page allows students to print the contents from the main window. Exit allows students to exit the classroom and return to the Student Main Menu. Help displays help information about the WebMentor course system. **Note: Buttons that are grayed out have no content for that particular lesson.

These are the most common functions for the buttons in the online courses; some instructors may not use all buttons or may use the buttons in a different way.
