  • 11/28/2005 - Blackboard Email Issue
    Some users may encounter issues with the delivery or receipt of email through Blackboard. Bb Support has verified that there is a known issue with sending email to the "All Users" option. If one incorrect email address exists in the course roster, all emails will fail to send. Users may send email via the "Select Users" option, and check off each recipient.

    Through testing, we have found that some email providers (such as Hotmail) identify incoming emails generated from Blackboard to be spam, and deliver them to the user's junk email folder. We ask that users check their email settings to verify that emails originating from "ctdlc.org" are being delivered to their inbox, and not filtered as spam.
Current Issues
  • Quizzes
    Some student may experience problems when submitting a quiz. This usually occurs due to a browser timeout, resulting in a dropped connection with the server. AOL users who encounter this are recommended to connect to the Internet using AOL, then minimize that window and open an alternate browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, to access their Blackboard course(s).
  • Text Box Editor
    Users may experience problems composing/formatting Discussion Board messages using the Text Box Editor, especially when trying to use the right click option to copy/paste. When the editor is enable, users can't right-click in the Message Box. Please refer to the Text Box Editor page for more details.
  • Login Twice
    Users that are experiencing the problem of having to login twice are encountering this issue because the Gateway page is bypassed, usually through a bookmark. The solution to this problem is to bookmark the Welcome page http://bb.ctdlc.org and delete any other bookmarks for Blackboard.
  • Install a feature by inserting the Microsoft Office CD
    When using the Text Box Editor or other Blackboard features, students might be prompted to install a Microsoft Office feature with the Microsoft Office CD. During an installation of Office 2000, the option Install on First Use was chosen from HTML Source Editing Feature. The correct option for HTML Source Editing Feature should be either Run from My Computer or Not Installed. For more information on how to make these changes Click Here (a new window will open.)
