Adult Virtual High School
The Connecticut Adult Virtual High School program, funded by the Bureau
of Early Childhood, Career and Adult Education, has developed and implemented
a Web Based Learning model, an Online Orientation course, and online
credit courses for students enrolled in the Adult Credit Diploma Program
in CT. The program offers the central delivery of student registration;
course development, staff development, and program management and represents
a statewide improvement in learning outcomes, cost efficiencies and program
equity. This year thirteen school districts across the state are participating.
Currently there are four full credit and six half credit academic courses
available. They are: Algebra I, US History/Civics, Contemporary Literature,
Physics, Contemporary Issues National, Contemporary Issues International,
Geometry Part I, Geometry Part 2, Transitions, Getting Into College,
Transitions, Survival Skills.
