Do you have old video tapes you need to offer through your website? Want to broadcast a shareholder meeting or important announcement over the Internet? The Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium offers Multimedia Services that can help your organization reach the widest possible audience with your multimedia content.

What We Do
Content management - The CTDLC can help digitize old analog audio and video content, as well as transfer newer digital content to various media. Do you have
an old training video that you want to show employees? We'll digitize it, compress and edit it, and then prepare it for delivery on CD or over the Internet.

If you're providing information over the Internet, remember to consider the speed of your viewers' Internet connections. Instead of having viewers download entire films or clips at once, the CTDLC can help you stream multimedia content for gradual download and faster viewing times. Our streaming service uses industry-standard, cross platform, freely available programs like QuickTime, Real Video, and Windows Media. If your organization doesn't have the IT infrastructure to handle demanding multimedia content, we can serve it for you over our fast, redundant network of servers. Viewers will be able to access your multimedia content quickly and easily, whenever they want.

If you have a live event you need to broadcast over the internet, the Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium is ready to help. Our staff will digitally record your event and broadcast it over the internet, with as little as a 10 second delay. We provide the staff, the recording equipment, and the web servers; all viewers need is one of the freely available players mentioned above.

Case Study: Charter Oak State College
Charter Oak State College provides distance learning courses for non-traditional students. When it came time for their graduation, they faced a non-traditional problem: how could students who had never set foot on the campus experience graduation? CTDLC Multimedia Services worked with the college to broadcast the graduation ceremony live over the internet, allowing students from as far away as South Africa, Hong Kong, and Malaysia to see their classmates walking the aisles.

Fee Schedule
The Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium delivers top quality services at extremely competitive rates. Multimedia content services start at $80/hour, with hosting and streaming services priced on an individual customer basis. Live event broadcasting includes a set-up fee of $100 and then an hourly rate of $80. Please fill out an inquiry form to have a web developer discuss how the CTDLC can serve your web development needs.
